Rag quilt and cushion I’ve made this quilt and cushion using the rag technique for my daughter’s bedroom. This Miffy fabric is new from Craft Cotton Company and the colours are very contemporary, so I wanted to make some room décor from it to match her grey room. This is an easy technique and looks so fluffy and cosy without taking too much time to make. For the quilt you’ll need: ü   ½ meter of fabric (for me this is grey) ü   ½ meter of contrasting fabric (for me this is white) ü   1 meter of backing fabric ü   1 meter of wadding – I used a polycotton one from Heirloom ü   505 spray (optional) ü   Scrubbing brush ü   Star templates (I printed 2 different sizes from the internet about 5 inches and 3.5 inches) 1. This is the first time I've ever made anything for myself to wear, I've only made clothes for Vienna before now so this was a new venture for me! I've always wanted to try a Tilly and the Buttons pattern as I've heard they are easy to follow and they are also lovely garments, so when the new Indigo pattern came out I knew I had to get my hands on it. It didn't take me long to choose the fabric I wanted to use as I prefer the feel of viscose, stretchy fabric and love a comfy material, judging by the clothes I already own! I also love dark colours and bold prints, so the daisy was perfect! (It was also super cheap off eBay so.. bonus!) I was going to make the indigo top but seen as I was able to get so much fabric, I decided to go for the dress instead.
